COVID UPDATE
It is with huge sadness that today we have been forced to cancel all our Winter Festival shows in Scotland.
For the past eight weeks we have been working with a group of other Scottish event producers to plead with the Scottish Government and Event Scotland to get them to do the right thing and re-classify drive-ins so that they can take place in Tier 3 areas, just as they are in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. As you may have seen in yesterday’s media and across our social platforms we were hopeful of a positive outcome at some point today.
Sadly, that hasn’t happened. The Scottish Government has decided to disregard the evidence we have presented to them showing that drive-ins represent one of the safest ways for friends and families to enjoy entertainment. While the Government is happy to allow thousands of customers to flock into shopping centres and retail parks in Tier 3, they won’t allow you to attend an event with your own family inside your own car.
Since the start of December, we have taken our Winter Festival to cities across England and Wales and the reception at each tour stop has been fantastic. As a Scottish company, we are bitterly disappointed that our own Government has decided that they know better than the English, Welsh and Northern Irish administrations who have all recognised drive-ins to be a safe way to provide entertainment in these challenging times.
We recognise however that the disappointment we feel will be felt even more by families and friends who were looking forward to attending one of our Glasgow and Edinburgh sessions and for that we are sorry. We do hope you realise that we fought very hard to make this happen but have been let down by this illogical decision by the Scottish Government. We will be back at some point in the future and look forward to welcoming you then.
All tickets are now being automatically refunded.
